Sheraton Seattle says it's even more Grand

Sheraton Seattle Hotel has completed a major renovation — and added the word “Grand” to its name.

The redesign and renovation of what is now Sheraton Grand Seattle involved all 1,236 guestrooms as well as 75,000 square feet of event space, the lobby, Club Lounge and public areas.

The company said in a press release that the Club Lounge has doubled in size and now offers views of the city and Puget Sound. A new Starbucks opened last month in the hotel, and next year the Fountain Wine Bar & Daily Grill will get some upgrades.

The downtown hotel opened almost 30 years ago at 1400 Sixth Ave., and is owned by Seattle Union Street Associates.

The hotel also said it is offering Heart for the City, an experiential tour with programs that allow guests and locals to “experience the city and culture of Seattle without ever leaving the property.”
