Tacoma wants design review help

TACOMA — The city of Tacoma wants to create an urban design studio and a design review program.

It is seeking proposals by Nov. 13 from consultants to design the program, according to a notice in the Oct. 15 DJC.

The budget is $150,000.

The aim is to build on Tacoma's setting and history, and its changing population to elevate the quality of public and private spaces and create a more vibrant, livable, walkable and sustainable city, the city said.

The program will oversee design review and create guidelines for projects.
