Thirteen projects were recognized at the 2019 Professional Awards of the Washington Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects for excellence in landscape architectural design and planning.
The ceremony was held last week at Georgetown Ballroom in Seattle.
The Southern California-based jury of landscape architects was Stephen Billings of Stephen Billings Landscape Architecture in Los Angeles; Deborah Deets of the Los Angeles Bureau of Sanitation Watershed Protection Program; Samantha Harris of Culture Horticulture; and Steven Lang and Jennifer Salazar of MIG in Los Angeles.
The moderators were Maren McBride, Tim Slazinik and Laura Thompson. They are the secretary, president and immediate past-president of WASLA, respectively. McBride is chair of the awards committee.
Awarded projects must be completed by a landscape architect in Washington. The projects may be located anywhere in the world.
