Major work planned for Portland VA med center

The 277-bed Portland VA hospital (upper center) was designed by ZGF Architects and SOM in the 1980s, replacing the original 1928 hospital.

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers selected the joint-venture team of ZGF Architects and Leo A Daly to design major expansions and upgrades to the Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Portland, according to a press release from the design team.
