Northgate school eyed as landmark

SEATTLE — Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board will consider nominating Northgate Elementary School as a city landmark at a meeting at 3:30 p.m. March 4 in Boards & Commissions Room L2-80 of City Hall at 600 Fourth Ave.

Seattle Public Schools plans to start construction in the summer of 2021 on a $90.3 million replacement for the school. NAC Architecture is designing the new 650-seat school, which is expected to be finished for the 2023-24 school year.
