Volunteer Park amphitheater project gets approval from landmarks board

  • Construction bids go out in May, with work scheduled to begin in August.

    ORA Architects designed the new modern structure, which will have panels that can be moved when the stage isn’t in use.

    Seattle's Landmarks Preservation Board granted a certificate of approval earlier this month for the replacement of the old Volunteer Park amphitheater on Capitol Hill.
