SEATTLE — The Port of Seattle broke ground yesterday on a $25.9 million park along the Duwamish River that has been in the works for over a decade.
Scarsella Bros., the project's general contractor, is expected to finish the 13.5-acre park in 18 months. It will run along 2,500 feet of the shoreline, creating upland habitat and restoring habitat for salmon and other species in the river.
