Heat map project will show city, county which areas need more help to keep cool

Sensors mounted to cars collected data on temperature variations that will be used to create the heat map.

King County and the city of Seattle recently sent out volunteers in cars with sensors to identify places that are likely to experience the most harmful effects of rising temperatures due to climate change.
