New map reveals old Ballard names

SEATTLE — Local geographer Andrew Wiseman has created an interactive map of Ballard with the neighborhood's old street names.

The map was created using data from a historical 1905 map. Some of Ballard's most well known and most trafficked streets have changed names. For example, Northwest Market Street was once named Broadway, and Northwest 65th Street was called Ship Street.
