Comet Tavern to add ‘speakeasy'

SEATTLE — Plans are afoot to add a “speakeasy” addition to the Comet Tavern at 922 E. Pike St.

The tavern has occupied the corner of the 113-year-old Bluff Building in Capitol Hill for over 50 years. Permits filed with the city show plans to connect the Comet to a retail space formerly occupied by Ikina Sushi.
