Chainqui proposing to demolish all but landmarked facades at Belltown project

MZA Architecture cites Minoru Yamasaki’s Rainier Tower as a design influence for the proposed tower.

Today the Landmarks Preservation Board will hear a briefing on the proposed redevelopment of 2005 Fifth Ave., otherwise known as the old Griffin Building and Sheridan Apartments. Chainqui Development, which has roots in Taiwan, has owned the properties since 2015.
