Memorial Stadium partner announcement delayed

Seattle Public Schools and the city of Seattle recently shared that the selected partner for the planned replacement of Memorial Stadium will now be announced in late June. The announcement had previously been expected in late May.

As reported by the DJC last month, two groups are in the running for the project, which the city and school district say will replace Memorial Stadium with “an innovative new, multi-purpose sports, educational and entertainment venue to better serve students from all backgrounds and the broader community, and which is better integrated with the Seattle Center campus.”
