Tech company to expand in Boise

BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A new technology company is expected to bring hundreds of jobs to the Treasure Valley.

KTVB-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1MmjI26) that Illinois-based Paylocity announced Thursday that it has chosen to expand in Boise. The company is looking to hire more than 500 people in the next five years.

Executive director of the Boise Valley Economic Partnership, Clark Krause, says Boise competed with other cities in the western United States to secure the company. He says Paylocity executives were impressed with the area's talent pool.

Paylocity is a cloud software business that handles payroll and human resources for mid-sized companies.

The company says it has already begun the hiring process and expects to start operating out of its Boise office by January.
