County to require vax, tests for events

SEATTLE — Proof of vaccination, or a negative COVID-19 test, will soon be required for certain indoor and outdoor activities, according to an announcement yesterday from King County.

A health order, issued yesterday by Public Health — Seattle and King County Health Officer Dr. Jeff Duchin, will go into effect on Oct. 25. It will apply to outdoor events with 500 people or more — such as professional and collegiate sports and entertainment events — and indoor events, including performing arts, museums, theatre, live music, gyms and conferences or conventions.
