Soul food cafe opens at new home

SEATTLE — Nearly two years after the move was announced, Simply Soulful Cafe has officially opened at its new location at 2321 S. Jackson St. in the Central District.

The cafe — known for soul food staples such as sweet potato pie, catfish, cornbread, collard greens, gumbo, chicken and waffles and hush puppies — opened at its original location in Madison Valley in 2014.
