GFI buys Snelson pipeline business

  • Natural gas pipeline construction and maintenance makes up most of the Sedro-Woolley firm's revenues, which could hit $165 million this year.

    GFI Energy Ventures of Los Angeles has bought a majority interest in Sedro-Woolley's Snelson Companies, which builds and maintains natural gas pipelines. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

    Snelson will remain in Sedro-Woolley with its current employees and management team. Three of Snelson's four owners will stay as minority owners and continue to manage the company. The fourth owner is retiring at the end of the year.
