Fire-damaged pagoda redesigned for another 100 years

  • Tacoma is spending about $3 million to restore the Point Defiance Park building and bring it up to code.

    BCRA is using historic photos as a guide to the pagoda’s redesign.

    When architect Luther Twichell designed the pagoda in Tacoma's Point Defiance Park, he and supporters of the building envisioned a structure that would last four generations.
