Juneau seeks $1.5M for 34 homeless units

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — The Juneau municipal assembly is scrambling to find $1.5 million pledged by members for a project to build housing for the homeless.

The assembly at the end of 2014 pledged the contribution for the Housing First Project, a 34-unit complex for the homeless to be built on land donated by the Tlingit and Haida Regional Housing Authority.
