First of 20 giant girders heading to site of $32M Puyallup bridge

Girders for the new bridge will rest on supports so there won’t be piers in the river. The old steel truss bridge was moved 60 feet east to make room for the new one.

The first girders will travel today from Vancouver to Puyallup.
