Meetings on two big Bangor projects

SILVERDALE, Kitsap County — The Navy is holding public meetings to discuss the environmental impact statement for two submarine support projects; one involving land-water security structures and the other a pier extension.

The projects at Naval Base Kitsap Bangor will protect Ohio class ballistic missile submarines, and improve deployment and maintenance of Seawolf class submarines.
