SEATTLE — Gov. Jay Inslee's 2015-17 capital budget has $1.87 million in state funding for KEXP's new $15 million radio station.
Sellen Construction is building the station in the Upper Northwest Rooms at Seattle Center. SkB Architects designed the space.
Funding is coming from the Building for the Arts program, which is also directing money to Spokane Children's Theatre, San Juan Islands Museum of Art, Kirkland Arts Center and KidsQuest Children's Museum.
KEXP will move in later this year and open in 2016.
