Terminal operator faces $425,000 fine

SEATTLE (AP) — The Washington Department of Labor & Industries has fined a Seattle marine terminal operator more than $400,000 for more than 50 serious safety and health violations at its facility on Harbor Island.

The state began investigating Seattle Bulk Shipping after a worker was hospitalized with injuries when he fell into an underground grain storage pit in December 2014.
