SHORELINE — As part of the state's recently passed $16 billion transportation budget, the city of Shoreline is getting $25 million for its state Route 523/145th Street corridor project.
The corridor is a major east-west connection for the region, and will eventually link light rail at 145th to Interstate 5.
Earlier this year the city began a year-long study for the corridor that includes development of one or more concepts to improve pedestrian and bicycle mobility, safety and operations, transit speed and reliability, and freight mobility.
