Bertha's cutterhead goes for a test spin

SEATTLE — It's been nine months since Seattle Tunnel Partners has rotated the cutterhead of Bertha, the broken tunnel machine stuck along the Seattle waterfront.

Last week, STP began rotating the machine's cutterhead a few degrees at a time, stopping periodically to take measurements before completing a full rotation.
