Bridges@11th is a new apartment complex at 4557 11th Ave. N.E. in the University District.
Three buildings of eight, seven and five stories are connected by passageways and skybridges. There are 82 studio and open-one-bedroom units; 24 one-bedrooms; 12 loft one-bedrooms; 58 two-bedrooms; and eight three-bedrooms.
There is also 1,300 square feet of retail, community spaces and parking for 125 vehicles. One building has a rooftop deck, and a pedestrian-oriented, woonerf-style street separates two buildings.
Landscaping uses native and drought-tolerant plants to help keep pollutants from storm drains. The project earned LEED silver certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
The University of Washington owns the land, and arranged a long-term lease with the developer. UW and Seattle Children's employees get priority in renting the units.
