Skanska USA Building says it has signed a $151.6 million contract with the Burrard Group of Vancouver, B.C., to build the Nexus condominium tower at 1200 Howell St. in Seattle.

The 40-story building will contain 382 units when it opens in mid-2019. Ground was broken on the 590,349-square-foot project last month.

Architect Weber Thompson's design uses a series of cubes offset by 8 degree angles to create transition floors with amenities and residential terraces.

Amenities include a fitness center, co-working spaces, a media facility, outdoor patio, rooftop kitchen, private dining area, sky-bar, recreation room, and a view terrace with open air kitchen and fireside lounge. There also will be retail at the street level and seven stories of underground parking.

Realogics Sotheby's International Realty is marketing the condos, which range from studios to three-bedroom flats and “sky lofts.” A Realogics spokesperson said there are 90 units left: ranging from $359,950 for a 375-square-foot studio to $2.2 million for 1,518-square-foot two-bedroom, two-bath unit. A quick MLS search showed several of those units have offers pending.

(Editor’s note: This story has been changed to correct the number of units left.)

Burrard assembled the 14,400-square-foot site last year by paying Benaroya Capital and Diamond Parking $14.95 million for two parking lots.
