Kiewit and Ferma start demo near Pike Place Market

The city has put a priority on building Overlook Walk, a $100 million promenade and stairway will connect Pike Place Market to Seattle Aquarium and Pier 62.

It's not just the Columbia Street on-ramp that's fast disappearing. Crews from Kiewit Infrastructure West and subcontractor Ferma have now also started gnawing away on sections of the Alaskan Way Viaduct below Pike Place Market.
