BNSF has $175M for local projects

SEATTLE — BNSF Railway will spend about $175 million on projects this year in Washington state.

Much of this year's work will replace and upgrade rail, ties and ballast. Included are about 820 miles of track surfacing and/or undercutting work, as well as replacement of about 50 miles of rail and close to 130,000 ties.
