Kiewit awarded $1.4B rail job

SEATTLE — The Sound Transit board yesterday selected Kiewit Infrastructure West Co. to design and build the 7.8-mile Federal Way Link Extension.

The $3.16 billion project will extend light rail from the Angle Lake station in SeaTac to Federal Way. Three new stations will be built in Kent/Des Moines near Highline College, at South 272nd Street and at the Federal Way Transit Center.
