Demo waste to Harbor Island?

SEATTLE — King County's Solid Waste Division wants to keep more clean construction and demolition waste out of the landfill and is looking at possibly redeveloping part of Harbor Island into a large-scale reuse and recycling operation for that.

The county is seeking companies interested in leasing the former 12.8-acre Fisher Flour Mill site to develop the operation, or for other environmentally innovative uses.
