Port Orchard lifts permit moratorium

PORT ORCHARD — Port Orchard officials last week lifted a moratorium on the issuance of permits for water hook-ups on new home construction.

The city instituted the emergency moratorium on June 11, citing a lack of suitable infrastructure for the increased water usage anticipated with new housing in the region.
