Sea-Tac baggage project price tag jumps to $540M

  • A flood of baggage projects across the country, combined with a tight labor market, has bumped up labor and materials costs.

    PCL Construction Services is now testing the first phase of the baggage system upgrades.

    The Port of Seattle Commission on Tuesday voted to increase the budget to $540.05 million for the outbound baggage system improvements project at Sea-Tac Airport. That's up from a previous estimate of $445.05 million.
