SPOKANE — A contract to rebuild the 330-foot-long Post Street Bridge in Spokane took a bit of a twist recently, as both bidders came under scrutiny by the Federal Highway Administration.
Garco Construction had the lowest bid, at $18 million, with Max J. Kuney Co. coming in at $18.5 million. The city of Spokane was poised to award the contract to Garco, but held off until a few items were clarified.
