UW inducting Emmert, Herb, Lewis and Nelson into Construction Industry Hall of Fame tonight

    At an age when most young people are setting their sights on getting a driver's license and going to prom, Ernie Emmert was learning the ropes of construction.

    Emmert, who will be inducted into the University of Washington's Construction Industry Hall of Fame tonight, started working as an apprentice carpenter during breaks from school when he was 15.
