Staybridge hotel eyed for Tacoma

TACOMA — Plans have been filed with the city of Tacoma to build a hotel on the northwest corner of South 28th and South C streets.

The plan, filed by an entity associated with Sang and Keum Woo and Benny Kim, is for a 116,500-square-foot, 114-room Staybridge Suites hotel on a vacant 1.5-acre site at 2801 S. C St. The building would have five stories and have two levels of underground parking. Construction is slated to begin in September.
