WSDOT releases more details on $500M extension of SR 509

Stage 2 will add two miles of highway from the airport to 24th Avenue South, where construction of Stage 1b is underway.

The Washington State Department of Transportation plans to advertise a request for qualifications solicitation on March 2 for the final piece of the state Route 509 expressway project in south King County. This design-build project has an estimated cost of $400 million-$500 million.
