Atkinson is the sole submitter for $500M SR 509 extension

Stage 2 will add two miles of highway from the airport to 24th Avenue South, where construction of Stage 1b is underway.

The Washington State Department of Transportation last month received only one submission for the SR 509 Stage 2 project, which has an estimated design-build contract of $400 million-$500 million. Guy F. Atkinson Construction was that firm.
