Low-carbon concrete summit

SEATTLE — Local concrete industry associations are coming together to present a sustainability summit called Pathways to Low Carbon Concrete. The event will be held Oct. 17 at the Washington Athletic Club in downtown Seattle.

The full-day program will have presentations by industry experts, a panel discussion and a profile of Seattle Aquarium's Ocean Pavilion project. It will address how to get low-carbon concrete, design team collaboration, constructability and outcomes. An event official says the program will benefit owners of public and private construction projects, contractors, designers and engineers.
