Work begins on Kirkland's pedestrian scramble

The upgraded intersection of Lake Street and Kirkland Avenue will allow pedestrians to cross in all directions at once when traffic is stopped.

Construction has begun on a $3.6 million project aimed at improving pedestrian safety, traffic flow, walkability and connection between Kirkland's waterfront and its downtown.
