Study examines Columbia tsunami

CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP) — A study has found that an earthquake-caused tsunami could raise the water level as much as 13 feet just inside the mouth of the Columbia River and almost 7 feet within a few miles of Astoria.

Oregon State University engineers also found that the water level increases would be very slight around Portland or Bonneville Dam.
