King County follows Microsoft's lead in using new software to save energy

Darrell Smith shows how Microsoft monitors energy use in buildings at the company’s Redmond operations center.

King County officials are trying save energy in five buildings by using the same software that Microsoft uses to track HVAC systems in 125 buildings.
