Seattle Parks grants $6M for projects

SEATTLE — The Seattle Park District Major Projects Challenge Fund has granted $5.8 million for three community-initiated park projects.

The awards include $2 million for design and construction improvements at the South Park Community Center, $2.9 million for pre-design work for the Green Lake Small Craft Center, and $900,000 to replace the amphitheater in Volunteer Park.
