King County opens new Lake to Sound trail segment

    The new $5.8 million segment connects the city of Tukwila’s Fort Dent Park to the city of Renton’s Black Riparian Forest. Construction on another segment between Burien and Des Moines is expected to start next year.

    King County Executive Dow Constantine and others will be on hand today to celebrate the opening of a new segment of the Lake to Sound Trail, a 16-mile paved path that will extend from Lake Washington to Puget Sound, connecting to four other regional trails and high-capacity transit.
