Cleanup set for U District site

SEATTLE — The Washington State Department of Ecology is seeking public comment on an environmental cleanup agreement with the owner of the former Carson Cleaners in Seattle's University District.

The legal agreement — called an agreed order — outlines a process to clean up soil and groundwater contamination that extends from the property at 4701 Brooklyn Ave. N.E. to property across Brooklyn and eastward along Northeast 47th Street, Ecology said in a press release.
