Governments push for Duwamish input

SEATTLE — King County, the city of Seattle, and the Port of Seattle have called for increased community engagement regarding work on the Lower Duwamish and East Waterway Superfund Cleanup in a letter to the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency.

In the letter, the three local governments voiced strong support for enhanced public engagement and responded to concerns raised by community representatives. The local governments also recognized EPA's leadership and partnership throughout the cleanup process.
