$12.9M for Seattle forestry grants

SEATTLE — Seattle will receive $12.9 million in federal funds from the USDA Forest Service for a five-year effort to expand access to trees and forested places in the city.

The money will be used to support two projects: a community driven urban forestry and job training initiative, and an enhancement project at the Delridge Native Forest Garden in West Seattle.
