Water usage drops by 44M gallons

SEATTLE — Warning of a shortage in the region's water supply, Seattle Public Utilities in September asked its 1.5 million customers to voluntarily cut back on their water usage.

The region responded, and since then customers have cut back by 44 million gallons of water per day, according to a news release this week from SPU.
