$109M OK'd for land conservation

SEATTLE — More than 50 projects across King County will receive a combined $109 million in open space preservation funds as part of the Conservation Futures initiative, approved by voters last year.

County Executive Dow Constantine announced the allocation plan, approved by the King County Council this week, to fund 52 projects that will increase climate resiliency and access to open space, and advance food sovereignty where there is the greatest need.
