Kennewick students win app contest

KENNEWICK (AP) — Five high school students at the Tri-Tech Skills Center in Kennewick won a national competition to develop a smartphone application.

They received word Tuesday that their app — designed to help teens cope with stress and depression — is one of the winners in the contest sponsored by Verizon Wireless.
