SEATTLE — Seattle Art Museum is here to help you relive your college dorm room decor.
The museum just opened its latest exhibition, “Intimate Impressionism from the National Gallery of Art,” filled with 68 intimately scaled paintings by 19th-century Impressionist and Post-Impressionist masters. The show includes works by painters — and student favorites — such as Claude Monet, Auguste Renoir, Paul Cézanne and Vincent van Gogh.
(After Hours had a Georges Seurat poster on his dorm wall. Seurat's work is also on view here.)
Seattle is the last stop for the international exhibition, which is taking place during a closure of Washington, D.C.'s National Gallery's East Building for a major renovation and expansion.
The show will be on view until Jan. 10. Tickets are $24.95 for adults, but discounts are available for children, students, military, seniors and people who purchase their tickets in advance online. Members are free. See www.seattleartmuseum.org for details.
The museum is located at 1300 First Ave.
